ROI – Extension announced to Debt Warehousing – 1 May 2024

Irish Revenue have announced an extension to the Debt Warehousing Scheme due to the current challenging economic situation for businesses.


Revenue has now extended the deadline to 1 May 2024. Further clarifications on the new announcement is expected in the coming days.


Prior to today’s announcement, businesses were due to settle their warehoused debts by 31 December 2022 (or if the extension applied 1 May 2023) or enter into a phased payment arrangement to avail of the 3% interest rate for late payment rather than the usual 10% interest rate applying.
