ROI: Update on My Future Fund since its launch on 1 January 2026

At least 763,000 employees have now been automatically enrolled, with over 5,000 joining voluntarily and more than €60 million already invested across three investment managers.

According to the Department of Social Protection, future developments in collaboration with National Automatic Retirement Savings Authority, it intends to develop policy positions on several areas – these include options for Additional Voluntary Contributions, pension transfers, retirement drawdown choices and extending to more groups.

Minister for Social Protection, Dara Calleary TD, described the scheme as truly revolutionary for Ireland’s retirement savings, thanking employers and payroll providers for their strong support since launch.
