The Department of Communities (DfC) is asking for your views on proposed changes to the Landlord Registration Scheme in Northern Ireland.

Since 2014, all private landlords must register under the Landlord Registration Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014. DfC now wants to update the rules to help landlords better understand and follow their legal responsibilities.

What changes are proposed?

• Collecting information about property standards when landlords register.

• Sharing registration data to help enforce gas safety rules and support housing policy.

DfC wants to hear your views on the possible benefits and disadvantages of these changes. Your feedback will help shape the future of the scheme.

You can take part by completing their online survey.
