UK: Business Innovation Grant in Northern Ireland

The Business Innovation Grant (BIG) supports sole traders and small businesses to develop new ideas and bring them to market.

Funding available – You can apply for £5,000 to £20,000, covering 70% of project costs. Funding can support activities such as:

• market research or validation

• product or service testing

• developing a minimum viable product

• process design or validation

• market entry planning and strategy

• supply chain development outside Northern Ireland

• attending trade fairs or exhibitions

• product launches and demonstrations

• consultancy or subcontracting for further development

Successful applicants join the Innovate NI programme and receive an Innovation Recognition Certificate.
