NI: Grant funding for fishing, aquaculture and other marine stakeholders in Northern Ireland

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has announced that the Marine Environment and Fisheries Fund for Northern Ireland is now open for applications – with £3.25 million available to support the growth of Northern Ireland’s marine economy, green initiatives and the journey to net zero
Funding is available until 31 March 2026.
What’s available:
£750K for green growth & decarbonisation
£500k for Blue Carbon habitats within Northern Ireland’s territorial waters
The applications is open to: fishermen & inland fishermen, processing & aquaculture businesses, port authorities and stakeholders with environmental interests.

Fisheries Innovation, Science and Partnerships
Environment and Conservation Action
Developing NI Aquaculture
Processing and Marketing of Fish and Aquaculture produce
Fishing Ports Infrastructure
