NI COVID RESTRICTIONS BUSINESS SUPPORT SCHEME (CRBSS)

Further to the recent announcement of the NI Localised Restrictions Support Scheme (LRSS) available for NI businesses forced to close due to the new coronavirus restrictions, the Economy Minister has now announced an additional support scheme available for businesses that are not eligible for the LRSS.

The new COVID Restrictions Business Support Scheme will be available for NI businesses that meet the following criteria:-

  • Businesses forced to close due to the recent NI restrictions and are not eligible for the LRSS (grant of £600 p/w); or

  • Businesses in the supply chain of businesses restricted by the Regulations and as a result have therefore been significantly impacted (grant of up to £800 p/w); and

  • Businesses operating in NI and trading immediately prior to 16 October 2020; and

  • Businesses not included in the scope of funding already allocated in response to Covid restrictions

Businesses that pay business rates and are not forced to close but are experiencing a significant decline in turnover will receive a grant of 50% of the grant payable under the LRSS.

Businesses not occupying commercial premises and experiencing a significant decline in turnover can apply for a grant of £300 p/w (payable at a later date).

Detailed guidance on the above measures to follow.
