Making Tax Digital is now mandatory for all VAT registered businesses with a taxable turnover above the VAT threshold, £85,000. It is important to note that MTD VAT rules apply to the first VAT period beginning on or after 1 April 2019. This means the earliest possible filing date for MTD Returns is 1st May 2019.
